Our Gratitude in Celebration of Social Justice Impact

Thank You for Joining

The LoveJustice Social Justice Impact Celebration was quite a night!

On Saturday, April 12, we gathered at The Star in Frisco to share in a purposeful evening of impact, honor, and connection, and it was inspiring.

Dedicated to honoring North Texas’ changemakers advancing social justice efforts, the LoveJustice Social Justice Impact Celebration was an evening created to recognize outstanding community leaders and organizations making a difference.

We were honored to celebrate Dr. Opal Lee, the iconic “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” and her granddaughter, Dione Sims, affectionately known as the “Granddaughter of Juneteenth” and the President & Founder of Unity Unlimited, Inc., with the LoveJustice Legends Award. The number of fellow nonprofit honorees with stories of having been inspired by Dr. Opal Lee, (aka 'Granny') was both astounding and moving.

We witnessed fellowship, as well as new connections being made, all among those making impactful change toward social justice.

Thank you to all those who joined us in celebrating the individuals and organizations doing good for so many, and strengthening our community, one day at a time.

All were moved by the stories from the following award winners:
