Access to affordable, organic foods is expanding in the valley.

The Southern Nevada Health District is bringing back its pop-up produce stands to the Bonneville Transit Center (BTC) Plaza this season.

The stand will be open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the following days:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 5
  • Tuesday, Oct. 3
  • Tuesday, Nov. 7
  • Tuesday, Dec. 5

The September pop-up stand will feature new produce including watermelon, cantaloupe, and other seasonal items.

Healthy recipe cards, nutrition education, and other health resources will also be offered.

The initiative aims to help those who experience barriers to accessing fresh produce and face food insecurity.

SNAP/EBT cards, cash, debit, or credit cards are permitted.

The pop-up stand program works in partnership with the Southern Nevada Health District’s Office of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), and Prevail Marketplace.
